I have been privileged to have been in the position CEO of the Ballina RSL for the past 19 years.
Throughout my time here the management team have led the Club through many challenges. I am personally committed to upholding the Clubs values in all my decisions and am passionate about providing a supportive and enjoyable workplace for our employees.
My commitment to supporting our staff has ensured that the Club have provided additional assistance to our employees during bushfires, COVID, floods and many other life challenges.
The Club proudly invests in Cultural training for all staff to ensure that our values of Collaboration, Working Together, Positivity and Customer Experience are at the heart of all we do.
I have worked in the hospitality industry of pubs and clubs for 15 years. I met with CEO of Ballina RSL and liked the direction the club was heading in immediately. I couldn’t wait to be part of the team. The club told me one of their goals was to be the best place in Ballina to work and I first got into this industry because I love seeing guests enjoy themselves. I really enjoy working in a team environment all working towards a common goal to show our customers a great time. I love working in a team where I can be part of helping staff evolve their skills and give them a career pathway.
Starting at the club as a barista in 2010, James has been able to grow his career at the club through years of supervisory experience and now moving into a managerial role.
James is passionate about quality food & beverage but also delivering a memorable customer experience at every opportunity.
James is focused on making the Ballina RSL the best working environment for staff and working to support all staff to obtain career growth and development opportunities within the industry.
In 2018, I joined the Ballina RSL team, in the role of function coordinator. Since then, my journey has evolved, to include responsibilities in entertainment, promotions, and marketing. It’s been an incredible journey of personal and professional growth, thanks to the wonderful opportunities here at the RSL.
One of the most fulfilling aspects of my tenure has been the privilege of collaborating closely with an exceptional team. Together, we share a deep commitment to delivering exceptional service and ensuring the utmost satisfaction of our esteemed members and visitors. Our collective dedication is further enriched by the fostering of a positive team culture. Additionally, I hold a profound appreciation for the opportunities I’ve had to engage with and support our wonderful Ballina community.
