Join us at The Ballina RSL Auditorium for an electrifying night of music and groove with The Bay Collective Big Band! As part of the Great Southern Nights program, this event promises to be an unforgettable experience.
Hailing from the sunny shores of Byron Bay, The Bay Collective Big Band is a six-piece ensemble that embodies the spirit of 60s and 70s funk. Led by the charismatic Hayley Grace, this raucous band features some of the region’s most prominent vocalists and multi-instrumental talents. Their live shows are known for being loud, fun, cheeky, and overflowing with energy – you’ll feel their infectious enthusiasm as soon as they hit the stage.
Featuring a full horn section atop an epic rhythm section and boasting six lead vocalists, The Bay Collective delivers a full-power performance. Drawing inspiration from musical legends like Stevie Wonder, James Brown, and Sisters of Soul, their genuinely original sound is backed by an abundance of talent.
Don’t miss the chance to groove to their tunes and dance the night away. With free admission, doors opening at 7.30pm, and the performance starting at 8.00pm, this is an evening you won’t want to miss.

The Bay Collective Big Band was born from the heart of Byron Bay, and their roots run deep. Hayley Grace, the driving force behind the band, brings a wealth of global experience to the stage, having toured extensively through Sri Lanka and India, even playing gigs in the Himalayas with a sound system carried on the back of a donkey. She has shared the stage with icons like UB40, Phil Emmanuel, and Darren Middleton (Powderfinger) and graced the stage of Splendour in the Grass.
The Bay Collective made their festival debut at the 29th Annual Byron Bay Bluesfest and has since taken the east coast of Australia by storm. They’ve just completed recording their debut four-track EP, “High Vibes,” and are planning an East Coast tour to celebrate its release.
