Introduction
Ballina RSL is proud to support local organisations, charities, sporting clubs and community groups that make a positive difference in our local area.
Through ClubGRANTS, we provide both:
CASH GRANTS
Financial contributions towards eligible community projects, programs and initiatives.
IN-KIND SUPPORT
Eligible support through the use of Ballina RSL facilities, including room hire and AV.
2026–27 GRANT YEAR
The ClubGRANTS year runs from:
1 September 2026 to 31 August 2027
Ballina RSL can only fund eligible projects and activities that occur within the relevant ClubGRANTS year.
WHAT CATEGORY SHOULD I APPLY FOR?
CATEGORY 1
For projects mainly focused on:
Community Welfare | Health | Social Services | Community Development | Employment Assistance
Examples include:
- Supporting people experiencing hardship or disadvantage
- Health and wellbeing programs
- Welfare and support services
- Projects that improve quality of life in the community
CATEGORY 2
For projects mainly focused on:
Sport | Community Participation | Local Initiatives | Veterans | Community Development
Examples include:
- Junior and community sport
- Local clubs and community groups
- Community events and activities
- Veteran programs and activities
- Projects that encourage participation and inclusion

CASH FUNDING
Choose Cash Funding if you are asking for money towards a specific:

Your application should tell us:
- What you need the funding for
- How it will benefit the community
- How much you are requesting
- What the main costs are
Please include quotes or supporting documents where possible.
Cash funding does not cover:
- Wages or salaries
- General administration costs
- Normal day-to-day operating costs
IN-KIND SUPPORT
Choose In-Kind Support if you are asking to use Ballina RSL facilities or services instead of receiving cash.
This may include:
Room Hire | Function Space | Meeting Space | AV Equipment
In-kind support is subject to availability and approval.
NEED BOTH?
If you need cash funding and in-kind support, please include both in your application and clearly show the amount or value of each.
