Close to four million dollars for Ballina Community Groups
Giving back to the community is something Ballina RSL Club is extremely passionate about.
Each year through ClubGRANTS, Ballina RSL Club provide support to around 100 local community organisations, sporting groups and charities that make a difference in the local Ballina Shire region.
‘This is our tenth year we have had this initiative in place’ said Bill Coulter CEO Ballina RSL Club. ‘Giving donations to local community groups would be one of the most rewarding parts of my role.’ added Bill.
Since the inception of the CLubGRANTS imitative Ballina RSL has made an enormous difference to community groups with an extraordinary $3.8 million dollars, cash and in-kind given out alone to the Ballina Shire Community.
The 2016 two major recipients were Alstonville Community Pre-school and Hope Haven, Ballina.
To be eligible to apply for a ClubGRANT, you must be a not-for-profit organisation and provide the following project and/or services: community welfare or social services, community development, community health services or employment assistance activities. You are also eligible if you or your organisation is involved in community or professional sport.
