Ballina’s Rotary Peace Pole
to Honour Unity, Cultural Connection and the ANZAC Legacy
to Honour Unity, Cultural Connection and the ANZAC Legacy
Ballina’s new Rotary Peace Pole was unveiled by the Rotary Satellite Club of Ballina Lifestyle & Mayor Sharon Cadwallader at Ballina RSL Memorial Park, as part of a global initiative led by Rotary & proudly supported by Ballina RSL.
The Rotary Peace Pole – a striking four-sided monument inscribed with the universal message “May Peace Prevail on Earth” – features English, Bundjalung, Māori, French and Braille, reflecting the region’s rich cultural heritage, commitment to accessibility, and enduring ANZAC legacy. The language selection was made in collaboration with the Ballina RSL Sub-Branch, ensuring the message honours both local identity and international friendship.
Ballina RSL Club offers uninterrupted views of the majestic Richmond River and is proudly recognised as the premier family and community club in the Northern Rivers. Our stunning contemporary interiors are stylish and chic yet inviting, relaxing and comfortable. We offer an air-conditioned kids club, live music, two floors of beverage and café outlets, a modern restaurant, 3 function spaces and endless member offers and competitions.
